Envelope Pocket Book

💜Envelope Pocket Book💜

Hello beautiful humans, it's me Patti Campbell. I am here to share with you this cute envelope pocket book.

For this project I used:

Step 1:
I gessoed the front and back of the envelopes leaving the flaps plain, and allowed it to dry.

Step 2:
I painted the background on both envelopes and allowed it to dry.

Step 3:
I cut out Evangeline that I had stamped previously on a paper bag and glued it to the front of one envelope.

Step 4:
Using the Royalty stamp and white gesso, I stamped parts of the crown around Evangeline to give some background texture.

Step 5:
I stamped Maybe A Heart in the corner and glued on pieces of ephemera.

Step 6:
I stamped Intricate Butterfly on the inside of one envelope, and Woman Power and Whimsy Wings on the other. Then I stamped Maybe A Heart to decorate.

Step 7:
On a piece of scrap paper, I painted the background, and stamped Queen Bee to make the insert for my book.

Step 8:
After everything had dried, I cut the flap off the envelope I used for the front.

Step 9:
I slid the flap of the envelope I used for the back into the pocket of the front envelope.

Step 10:
I folded the 2 envelopes together to make a book, and used the double sided tape to stick the 2 envelopes together where they connect.

Step 11:
I placed the insert in the pocket.

Wouldn't this make a nice little surprise for a loved one who needs a pick-me-up, or an insert for a journal?

Thanks for reading!

Love and laughter,
💜Patti💜

Jone Hallmark Star-Powered Card and Video - Nancy Sheads

GOOD MORNING FRIENDS!

I'm Nancy Sheads and this is my first post as a member of the 100 Moons Creative Collaborative! I'm here today with a project featuring a variety of stamps from Rubbermoon, ArtFoamies, and 100 Proof Press.

I've been making a lot of cards lately. In these days of social distancing, sending happy mail can really brighten someone's day.

This card has a little bit of everything going on - stamping, heat embossing, die cutting, and Copic coloring. The featured image is Jone Hallmark Star-Powered by RubberMoon.  I used a lot of products and supplies (so don't faint when you see the supply list) but I bet that most of it is stuff readily available in your craft room. So if you don't have the exact product that I used, I suspect you already have a great substitute.

I never remember to take process photos of my projects, so I often rely on videos to show you what I've done. I divided the project into three parts, giving you plenty of time for breaks and to grab your beverage of choice. The videos are in real time so you can simply watch or check out the supply list below and craft along with me. So pull up a comfy chair and let's roll the video!

Whew! That was a lot! But aren't you glad you stuck it out to the end?!?

That's it for me today. Hope you found some crafty inspiration! See you next time!

~ Nancy ~
You can find me on Instagram, YouTube as well as my blog - Rowhouse Greetings.

Please feel free to share your creations using #rubbermoon #100proofpress #artfoamies #100moonscollab on your social media. We will be so happy to see what you make with Rubbermoon,  100 Proof Press, and  Artfoamies products.

Rubber Moon~ Beach Bliss~ By WildHeart Art Studio

~Beach Bliss~

I am so thrilled to be here on the Rubber Moon blog and sharing my project with you all using these lovely and whimsical rubber stamps by Rubber Moon!

I have always been drawn to create houses ... all kinds of houses! I love fairy houses, city houses etc, but due to the fact that I am suffering from "Cabin Fever" now, I am creating Beach Houses  for this project today.

When I think of the beach.. some of my all time favorite colors to mind~ turquoise, pink, orange, yellow, purple and these are the colors I am using today!

My thought was to use the "Moon Unit House" and the "Lovely Loft House"  as my beach houses. I then wanted to create some texture in the water and the sun above by using stencils and spray inks. I used the little saying stamp "sprinkle moondust, spread magic" for the waves in the water. The stamp "New Moon" was added to the top of the Loft House, and "Love this Face" was added to the sun on top.

Below are the supplies and pictures of  the project in process. I hope you enjoy creating your own little beach houses!!

~Supplies~
"Beachy" colored Acrylic paints ( yellow, orange, turquoise, purple and pink)
*Rubber Moon stamps*
Stamp pad in deep blue
Ink Sprays ( blue , orange and yellow)
Gelly Pens
White Pen
Big Brush Markers
Glitter gel

Given to Whimsy

I could go on and on about what attracts me to RubberMoon's stamps.
I could tell you how awed I am by the quality of the product, the variety, the artistry, etc.
But if I had to sum it up in one word?
That word would be whimsical.

I love RubberMoon's stamps because they are whimsical.
Which means they play right into my flights of fancy
and my inability to take art seriously.

So, when I saw the catfish and the "Holy catfish!" sentiment stamps,
I had to have them. Had to.

For this card, I began with one of my favorite background techniques.
This one is so easy and so much fun!

Begin by smooshing (that's a technical term, right?) various ink pads
on a non-stick craft sheet.

Spritz the inked sheet with water and swirl the colors around.

You can use an old chopstick for this,
but I like to get messy, so I just use my finger.

Then just gently place a piece of glossy paper on to it.
Lift it up, and ta-dah!

The bonus is that there's usually enough left over smooshy stuff
on the mat to do another background,
and it'll be completely different from the first.

Next, I stamped the catfish in green on the background.
I wanted to make the head and tail different from the body,
so I stamped that in brown on a separate piece of paper.
I cut the head and tail of the brown catfish and set it aside.

I added some glitter to the green catfish's fins and
colored in the eyes and whiskers on the brown catfish head.

The background seemed a little bare to me,
so I sponged on some blue ink to give it a little more oomph
(another technical term).

I added some fishy friends for my catfish
using a Stencil Girl stencil, a sponge and brown ink.

After that, I added some seaweed using RubberMoon's Large Fern stamp
as well as the "Holy Catfish!" sentiment.

The only thing left to do was to assemble the piece.
I used some double stick spacing tape for the brown catfish head and tail
to make them stand out from the page a little bit.

I glued the piece to some matching green cardstock,
then glued that to my card base.

Now I can send it on its way and fill a friend's day with whimsy!

In the Blink of an Eye

A Guest Artist Post
by Brenda Smoak

Knowing . . .  a profound, deep knowing continually flows through me. It is not easy to define or explain yet it is there, as sure as my next blink. A knowing so intense that the mere thought of you made it nearly impossible for me to catch my breath.

Yes, I was a dreamer, or as you so finely said,  ‘A weaver of impossible possibilities and what if’s’. You saw the dreamer in me and begged me to give myself to you. Trusting you, I took a chance and shared my deepest secrets. You devoured them, as you did me, and we melted into a dream-filled boat that carried us over challenging seas.

Ever so gingerly, we cultivated deep love, understanding and respect as we tended to and nurtured our rose-colored garden. Time passed and we continued living our respective lives, mastering our craft, choosing other lovers, yet always knowing there was an unspoken bond calling us back together again.

I awoke years later to find I had blinked and you were gone. But wait! I was the dreamer and you were my dream. Many summers and winters came, ships passed, and still I dreaded the night, refusing to allow myself the luxury to dream again.

Then one recent morning I awoke to find that as I blinked the sleep away, I noticed my wounds had healed and the beautiful rose-colored garden, once parched and forgotten, is bursting with new impossible possibilities and  ‘what if’s’.

I am a dreamer and you were once my dream.

********************

This is a mixed media collage based on the RubberMoon stamp #417 (Dreamer) which reads: “When I was a dreamer and you were my dream”. The moment I saw that stamp, I instantly knew what to do with it. It pulled together all the words that had been wandering around in my head for so long and this piece came together easily.

My hope is that this collage theme is universal and you can relate to the quote whether it resonates as a lost love, a new-found joy, or a deep knowing and understanding that you are on the right path.

In addition to the RubberMoon stamp, I used:

Liquitex acrylic paints,
Ranger acid-free pearl mica powders,
Derwent Inktense watercolor chalk blocks,
Archival India ink,
handmade paper, a photography print and torn up letters to create this collage.

You can check out more of my stories and other artist’s stories on my blog at Artists Tell Their Stories. Thanks for reading my post today.

Blessings and may all your dreams be fulfilled!
Brenda

RubberMoondalas!

I've been having a lot of fun lately, playing with mandalas. I've been adding them to my journaling practice this week. It's a wonderful way to just sit back and relax with the pen, allowing the natural creative flow to happen.

I thought it would be fun to show how you can have the same fun making mandalas using rubber stamps. It might even be a good way to introduce yourself to the process if you feel a little nervous picking up drawing or painting materials to make a mandala.

Select a bunch of your favorite Rubbermoon Art Stamps. Don't limit yourself to shapes alone. Dare to use those illustrative stamps as well... or even those favorite WORD stamps you've been wanting to use more often.

Some of my favorite word stamps: Crazy Ideas, Wanderlust
Some of my favorite shape/design stamps: Scattered Hearts, spiral, circles
Other fun image stamps to use: Typewriter, New Moon, Girl holding heart

This process is so freeing! Anything goes!

I chose to create a series of "RubberMoondala" (tee hee!) postcards.

I love creating art to share in the mail.

Use a matte card stock cut to postcard size (around 4x6"), place on a scrap paper (so you can stamp off the edges without messing up your table), and stamp away!!

Below are some samples of the fun I had with my collection of rubber stamps:
