Notecards of Joy by Kim Fuller

Hello friends! Kim here today and I have a fun share for you using some of my favorite stamps from Rubbermoon.  I so love the stamps they have in their store, they are made from red rubber, which I prefer to use over the clear acrylic ones. I just find these deep etched stamps work great and always give me a sharp, clear image.

I created two cards today, as I am trying to build up my card stash so I have something for any occasion that pops up.  The first one, I used the Beautiful Balloon Girl by Kae Pea. When I looked at the stamp, I saw her floating up high in the sky and thought it would be fun to add some dimensional balloons to her to keep her afloat!

I layered some turquoise card stock on a 5 1/2 x 4 /12 inch card, then used some more white cardstock and some watercolours in the same tones as the paper and created a sky background for our girl to be floating in.   I added some bows and glitter to the balloons, and a die cut sentiment to the base of the card. The girl was coloured in with Spectrum Noir markers and topped off her dress with some more glitter. I added some tiny silver bling to the card for some added sparkle.

My next card was totally inspired by the little lady from the Open Arms stamp by Wendy Fedan, and I stamped her out on some white cardstock and coloured her in with more of my Spectrum Noir markers. For the background, I used some white cardstock and ran it through my embossing folder, and it reads the words to the song, "You are my sunshine", which is one of my favorite songs. I used the Love this Face! stamp by Kae Pea for the sun in the sky, and placed some die cut clouds on either side of the glittery face in the sky. The Crooked Chimney house is also one of my favorite stamps and there is a great selection of these houses designed again by the very talented Kae Pea!  I coloured this one in coordinating colour tones and added my joy sentiment.

I added some tiny bling pieces in a sunshine-y yellow for a finishing touch and that completed my card.
I hope you have enjoyed my posts today and I hope it inspires you to make some of these fun cards for your family and friends.
Thanks for stopping by!

Christmas Bits and Bobs!

Hello friends and happy Friday! It is Kim here today to share with you some gift wrapping solutions for your holiday wrapping.

I had a great time with this project, creating my own gift tags and ribbon was a lot of fun, and could even be something that the kids could be involved with.  So many of Rubbermoon's stamps worked for this project, and some of them are not necessicarly for Christmas. But, if used with the right colored inks can really bring out the holiday spirit in them! I am always looking for that final touch to add to my packages and these little bits and bobs I created should work out great.

I used some Flakey Tags from Gina's Designs along with her snowflakes on the tags. First, I got out my gelatos and Fireworks sprays from Imagine Crafts and just played around with different colors until I was happy with the result. Once my background was complete, I dove into my Rubbermoon stamp stash and got out some things that I thought would work. I used the stardust stamp as a common theme on all of the tags to tie them together.

I then used some muslin fabric I had, ripped it into strips and stamped some more fun images on them. This time the common theme was the "Wishes really do come true" stamp. I thought that was apropo for the season, and used colored inks on the image and black for the sentiment.

I used various sprays on the above ribbon to get the nice icey blue color, then I stamped on the sentiment.

I created 3 tags and 3 muslin ribbons for my packages. I am sure they will make my gifts more fun and festive!

Thanks so much for stopping by today and I hope you will give this fun project a try!

"Flying Diva" Mixed Media Canvas by Kim Imagine Crafts Cross Promotion

Hello friends! Today I am thrilled to share my mixed media canvas featuring the products of Imagine Crafts and of course Rubbermoon goodies as well!  I really love doing canvas work, and was truly inspired by the inks and sprays from Imagine Crafts, they work so well with the stamps, this was really a fun project.

I started off with a 10 x 10 canvas and started to layer on some vintage music paper, drywall tape and two of my favorite colors of Fireworks! sprays, in Bahama Blue, and Paris Dusk.  These sprays are really vibrant and work so wonderfully on the canvas, they come in a huge range of colors as well.

Next, I worked on some of the chipboard pieces from Gina's Designs that I wanted to add to my canvas. Imagine Crafts has such a great line of inks and embossing powders, I used a mixture of both to add life to the blank chipboard. First, I used the Memento Luxe Bahama Blue all over the Butterfly of Gears chipboard piece from Gina's, then when the ink was wet, I added some silver and black embossing powder to it. This really gave the illusion of layers and textures on the butterfly.

Once the embossing powder had cooled, I edged all around it with more of the Blue Memento Luxe ink and added a few sequins and bling with a key in the center to finish it off.

I also used the black Imagine Crafts embossing powder on the diamond texture sheet from Gina's Designs. I love this embossing powder, it is very fine and gives fantastic coverage!

I also used the Something Shiny Stamp as well. I stamped it on top of one of the 3 x 3 Inchie Art Squares that are sold in the Rubbermoon shop.  I also layered on some more embossing powder using the Versa Mark Pen, so I could just edge the mat board and control where the embossing powder went.  I added some more of the blue Memento Luxe ink and some of the Black Pico Embellisher, from Imagine Crafts on the corners to finish it off.

Here you can see some of the texture in the background of the canvas with the music paper, embossing paste and a circle stencil. I also used the Dots and Circles Stamps (one of my favorites!) to the background as well, using the black Stayzon Ink from Imagine Crafts.

I also used some of the Vertigo Sheets from Imagine Crafts, I really love this stuff!! I thought it might be fun to play around with it, so I used the new Wings stamp by Kae Pea, and stamped on top with more of the black Stayz On Ink.  I then cut out the wing shapes, and used the Bahama Blue and Pear Tart Memento Luxe inks on the back of the wings to give them color.

This is the result!  I added some tiny keys from my stash and a coordinating flower to the center of the butterfly and flanked them beside more of the Gina's Designs Chipboard number plates, I am super happy with the result.

I hope you have enjoyed seeing my project today, and will hop over to Imagine Crafts website to check out all the amazing items they have in their store, I know I am totally a customer for life!
Thanks so much!

Have a Very Meowy Christmas!

Hello friends, Kim here today, I would like to share some fun Christmas themed cards I have created using Rubbermoon Stamps and some fun products from Imagine Crafts.
First up is my very "meowy" Christmas card. I love the whimsy with this card and the "Impurrfect" kitty cat stamp I used as a focal point.

Behind the kitty I used a scroll frame from Gina's Designs, and painted it a soft ivory color, then stamped the "stardust" in the background behind the cat.  I used some Imagine Crafts gold embossing powder to give a lovely shimmery look to the frame.

Behind the card I spritzed some of the Imagine Crafts Shimmer Spritz in gold and sparkle tones. Then used the Dots and Circles Stamp with some silver Delicata Ink from Imagine Crafts to create a fun background on the card.

Finally I added some metal snowflakes to each of the corners of the frame to finish it off
.
Here are some of the fun products I used from Imagine Crafts, I just adore their items and they really made my cards sparkle!

For this next card I used the 3 Snowman Stamp in the center, and colored them in with some copics to give some Christmas tones to the card.

For the background I used some of the Gina's Designs cardstock doilies. I laid them on my card and then used some of the  Fire works sprays from Imagine Crafts in Bahama Blue and Paris Dusk. I love the tones it gave, I really wanted to give the image of a wintery background.

I love the effect the sprays and doilies give, they really look like snowflakes!

After the sprays had dried I then used the Box O'Flakes Stamp and some silver embossing powder on top to add to the background. I really wanted a nice shimmer to the card, I also layered more of the Shimmer Spritz Spray on top as well.

I used some of the Art Squares precision cut matboard to layer on top of the background and used some of the Irresistible Pico Embellisher to draw snowflakes and dots on it. I then used more of the Fireworks sprays to complete the background look on the matboard.

I used some lace from my stash and a few more metal snowflakes and pearls, then popped the snowmen up with some foam tape.
I hope you have enjoyed looking at my whimsical cards today, thanks for taking a peek and have yourself a very "meowy" Christmas!

Sweet Dreams

Happy Friday friends, it's Kim Fuller here! I have a fun project to share with you today using the Art On The Block Kit from the Rubbermoon shop. I really love these kits, as you get enough goodies to make three little houses and it includes some fun chipboard from Gina's Designs.

I chose a fun theme for this house and made it kind of based in a night time dream state. Things are a bit out of scale and wonky!  I topped the house off with the Man in the Moon stamp which I stamped and inked in a lovely yellow pigment ink, then added some diamond stickles to make it sparkle.

I added some embossing paste to the background using a circle stencil from my stash to give the house some texture. I then added some of the chipboard windows from the kit, which I embossed.

I then used the Love This Face stamp for the attic window. which I really do love!! It gives the illusion of someone peeking out, and has a real dreamy look to it. In the window below, I used the same embossing technique and added some lace to give the look of curtains, then stamped the Bow Wow stamp inside it.

For the front door I used a fun technique using some black embossing powder and the Dots & Circles Stamp to make an impression in the hot embossing powder, it worked amazingly well!

Once I had made my impression with the stamp, I used my silver Gilder's Paste and rubbed it on to give it a metallic look.  After that I got out some sapphire blue Inka Gold and my water brush and highlighted the impressions with it.

Here is the final look of the door, its a fun and different way to use your stamps!  You can also see in the background I have used the Stardust stamp for more added texture and design.

I hope you enjoyed my project, thanks for taking a peek.

Sweet Dreams everyone!

Ode to a Cat by Kim

Hello my Artsy Friends! Today, I would like to share with you my Kitty Cat banner. I am a cat person (as you can tell) and thought it would be fun to play with some of the great cat stamps that RubberMoon has in their store.

I had a lot of fun with this banner and used my beloved cat Miss Blue, who is a pure bred blue point rag doll, as my inspiration for the stamps and the sentiments.  I used various colors of ink to achieve my background, and have a short tutorial below to show how I achieved the look.

After I was happy with the watercolor look of the inks, I used various RubberMoon stamps in the background to finish off the look before I stamped on my focal images of the cats.

Here is my banner put together and complete....

I used my Pentel watercolor pen and some colorful inks in various colors. First I dipped my brush in the inks and did random areas of the Inchie Art Squares Tile.  I really love these tiles, they really are super sturdy and make for a great base for my banner.

After I had added all my colors it was time to stamp my images.

I have used a very non-conventional item to put my stamped image on...toilet tissue!  Yes, that's right, I have used some ordinary toilet tissue. I love the effect it gives! I wanted the Cat stamps to stand out from the background stamping I did and this was a great way to achieve the look.  The tissue took the stamp great and then I fussy cut it out and mod podged it onto the art square. The finished result is something different and fun!

I hope you have enjoyed taking a peek into my studio today, and will try out some of these techniques and sweet kitty cat stamps from RubberMoon, they are just purrrfect!
