Mosaic Valentine Banner

Hello, it's me Patti Campbell here to share some Valentine's Day magic on my first post of 2021 as an ArtFoamies Guest Designer.

For this project I used:

• 140 lb watercolor paper
• Pink and red cardstock
• Ann Butler | Heart Burst by ArtFoamies
• Nathalie Kalbach | Weave by ArtFoamies
• RubberMoon Patreon Exclusive Nov. 2020 Jone Hallmark
• Ranger Archival Ink in Jet Black
• Moonlight Duos in Milky Way Magenta, Mars Red, and Heavenly Pink
• Guangna neon gel pens in orange, light green, dark green, pink, blue, purple and gold
• PVA glue
• Scissors
• Twine

Step 1:

I stamped each of the ArtFoamies four times on the watercolor paper using a combination of the Moonlight Duos.

Step 2:

I made a paper template of a heart, traced it onto the stamped images, and then cut them out. 

Step 3:

I made a larger heart template and traced it onto the red and pink cardstock four times each and cut them out.

Step 4:

I stamped the Jone Hallmark stamp on watercolor paper using the Ranger ink five times, colored them in with the gel pens, and cut them out.

Step 5:

I folded the double bird images in half to make a single bird and then poked a tiny hole in the bottom for the twine to go through.

Step 6:

To make the mosaic look, I took one of the stamped hearts and cut it into several pieces. I glued the pieces to the red heart, leaving spaces in between the pieces forming a mosaic look. Then I repeated this with all eight hearts. 

Step 7:

I threaded the birds onto an approx. 4 ft. long piece of twine. Then I spaced them out so the hearts would fit between them and glued them into place.

Step 8:

I took a red heart and a pink heart and glued them together around the twine in between the birds. Then I repeated this step with the rest of the hearts.

Step 9:

With the twine I created a tassel for the bottom and tied a loop in the top.

Stampdala T-shirt

Hi Everyone!

Patti Campbell here with my second blog post as a member of The 100 Moons Team.  I'm going to share with you how I made this Stampdala t-shirt with ArtFoamies, Stamp Buddys and Jacquard textile paints.

For this project I used 

1 plain white v-neck t-shirt (washed & dried)

ArtFoamies Stamps

Jacquard textile paints 

1 small round brush

2 Stamp Buddys

1 large piece of cardboard to go inside the t-shirt

a pencil

and

a compass

1. First I placed the cardboard inside the t-shirt. This will keep the paint from bleeding through to the back of the shirt.

2. Next I drew circles with the pencil and compass very lightly. This is not necessary I just like to have a guide for my circles.  These light pencil lines will wash out easily.

3. Then I loaded up a Stamp Buddy with my paint in a circular rainbow. I placed a good sized circle of 106 true red in the center, I placed a bit of 101 yellow over the edge of the red to

create orange, then the yellow by itself, then 116 apple green, 111 sky blue, and 110 violet as shown in the picture below.

4.  Using the Candy Love ArtFoamie and the rainbow paint filled stamp buddy,

I stamped the center of my design.

5. At this point I wasn't sure where I was going with my design but knew I wanted to use the Lavender stamp around the largest circle. 

I used my small paint brush and painted the leaves green and the flowers purple directly on the stamp.

6. Using this technique, I stamped the outer circle with the lavender stamp.

7. After stamping the lavender there were some gaps between the images. 

I used my paint brush to hand paint some leaves and flowers in the gaps to create the look I desired.

8. Next I chose two stamps from the Microcosms set, a floral-ish one and the small striped one. Then using the same rainbow inked Stamp Buddy I stamped the floral stamp four times, at the north, south, east an west points.  

9. Again using the rainbow inked Stamp Buddy I used the smaller striped stamp between the floral images.

10. I added the small leaf from the Dandelions set between the Microcosms and the lavender. For the leaves I used a second Stamp Buddy loaded with 116 apple green and 114 turquoise side by side. This created a nice two tone leaf.

11. Wanting to add one more image to my stampdala, I chose the dandelion blossom from the Dandelion set and used the rainbow inked Stamp Buddy again.

I stamped this around the outside.

12.  I allowed the paint to dry and then proudly wore my new t-shirt!!

Stampdala Totebag

Hi Everyone! 

I'm Patti Campbell here to do my first ever blog post for the 100 Moons Creative Team. I love creating Stampdalas! It's one of my favorite things to do with rubber stamps.

I wanted to share with you how I made this Stampdala tote bag.

For this project I used the following materials:

*imagine large canvas tote bag purchased at Michael's

*Jacquard Textile paint in 101 yellow, 106 true red, 116 apple green, 111 sky blue, 110 violet, 

and 123 white purchased from ArtFoamies

*number 2 round brush

*unknown sun rubber stamp

*kp5315D rosa stamp from RubberMoon

*MM7164A simple leaf stamp from RubberMoon

*MM166A teeny clover stamp from RubberMoon

*3034 stylized leaf stamp from 100 Proof Press

*2827 small sprig with leaves from 100 Proof Press

blue water soluble marking pencil

First I used the compass and blue water soluble pencil to draw some circles on my bag. This is not necessary but is helps me to have nice circles and for this project I wanted that.

I started by stamping the sun in the center of my circles and the worked my way to the outside stamp by stamp.

I line my stamps up along the lines of the circle as I go along. The lines are faint so they will come off easily when I'm done painting. Hard to see them in the photos, I know.

Then I began to fill in the designs with the textile paints. I like them a bit opaque so I water them down. much like using water color you will need to move around a bit, letting colors dry before you paint beside them. I mixed the red and yellow to make orange and the violet with white to make lavender.
