A Special Announcement from Kae Pea! RubberMoon's Next Phase...

RubberMoon's Next Phase

Hi, I’m Kae Pea, owner of RubberMoon. Many of you may know a bit of my backstory... so you may know I bought RubberMoon from the original owners in 2012. If you know more of my story, then you also know it is a story of profound loss and the amazing power of love and second chances.

I have worked tirelessly for these past 8 years to keep RubberMoon the vibrant, quirky, and unique rubber stamp company that the Valoffs began in 1993. I have tried always to maintain the quality, unique vision, and continuity with RubberMoon while also trying to give the best customer service and innovative products in the industry. In these 8 years we have seen many changes. I have strived to bring you innovations like Stampstracts, Kreative Elements, Moonlight Duo Tint & Hue Ink Pads, and of course, “Let’s Get Makey”.

All of that is to say, I care deeply about this rubber stamp company, and I have loved growing it to what it is today. However, as 2020 has shown us multiple times over, life has a way of throwing you curve balls and learning to change tactics and go with the flow has been a major lesson of this last year (and my life in general if i’m being honest!) Between the pandemic and buying another stamp company, ArtFoamies, this year has truly tested the limits of our capabilities as a tiny, family-owned and operated business making 100% HANDMADE goods.

So it’s with equal parts sadness and excitement that I announce we are changing how RubberMoon operates as of February 1, 2021. I want to preface this by saying that we *did* think very hard about closing RubberMoon altogether, but ultimately decided against that course for multiple reasons, most of them outlined earlier. This company means so much to me, and I want to continue to innovate and create rubber stamps, but at least for now, we have to scale back. Without going into too much detail, the ins and outs of running two stamp companies with just me, my husband, and daughter, as well as one additional part-time employee, have become too much and we had to make a change in order to continue on!

What does this actually mean for you as a (hopefully!) RubberMoon customer? Basically, RubberMoon’s website is going to be “Patron-only” for the foreseeable future. Since I’m not selling or closing entirely, this gives me the flexibility to be able to fully re-open in the future if that becomes more feasible. But for now, it means that if you want to continue to have access to ordering RubberMoon stamps, you will need to be a Patron of mine to do so.

I want to thank you sincerely for your support these last 8 years. Here's to many more.
