A Special Guest Post from Romy Ehrsam!
We are so excited and pleased to introduce Romy Ehrsam. She has been sharing her art with RubberMoon since she was very young. Like Gretchen, her talented mom, she has designed quite a few stamps for RM over the years and we are hoping she will be doing more soon! In the meantime, we wanted you to meet her and see some of her stamped creations....
Hello! My name is Romy. I'm 13 years old and I go to Madison Middle School in West Seattle.
I
like to make art. One of my drawings is hanging in a special school
exhibit at the SAM (Seattle Art Museum) and I'm showing some of my block
prints at The Firefly Café in West Seattle.
For my blog post, I want to show how to make something with RubberMoon stamps that you could use for a quick gift.
Here are some quick bookmarks and gift tags/cards.
You will need:
- Cardstock
- Coordinating Stamp Pads
- Stamps
- Embossing Powder/Heat Gun
- Sponges
Start by stamping 3 columns of stars equally spaced using embossing ink, then emboss with white powder.
Next, stamp some sentiment stamps with black ink. Cover the whole thing in clear embossing powder and emboss.
Trim to the sizes that you want, punch holes, add ribbon or glue on a card. Now you have some beautiful cards and gifts to keep or to share!
